Lesley Glaister

Lesley Glaister is a novelist, poet and playwright and teacher of creative writing. She lives in Edinburgh and Orkney with her husband, Andrew Greig. Her first novel Honour Thy Father (1989) won both a Somerset Maugham and a Betty Trask Award in 1990. Her work has been admired by Hilary Mantel, who described her latest novel Blasted Things as ‘absorbing and beautifully crafted’ also described other novels as ‘fresh, inventive and deeply felt’
