Jim Mackintosh

Jim Mackintosh is a Poet. Editor and Producer. Current Makar of the Cateran EcoMuseum. Makar of the Federation of Writers Scotland 2021. Co-producer of Concert for Ukraine, Perth - April, 2022.

In 2021, along with Paul Philippou he co-edited the critically acclaimed Beyond The Swelkie - poetry & essays in celebration of the centenary of George Mackay Brown.  In 2022 he has toured a show based on Beyond The Swelkie along with Duncan Chisholm and Hamish Napier. In April 2022, he co-produced the sell-out Concert for Ukraine in Perth Concert Hall raising thousands for humanitarian charities. His latest book The Banes o the Turas is published by Tippermuir Books in November 2022. It's an owersettin intae Scots o the poems bi Pino Mereu inspired mainly bi Hamish Henderson an Antonio Gramsci.
