Isla Dewar

Isla was born in Edinburgh, scene of many of her books.  Her second book was made into a film starring Helen Bonham Carter.  She writes about families, relationships, misunderstandings, love, hate and other absurdities.  When she grows up she wants to be a blues singer but she loves writing, loves words and she thinks she is the luckiest person in the world to do this for a living.  Isla lives in Fife with her illustrator husband.
