Gary West

Gary West is an ethnologist, musician and broadcaster who has spent over thirty years researching and teaching in the field of Scottish culture and tradition. He has published books and articles on a wide range of themes, and recently moved on from his post as Professor of Scottish Ethnology at the University of Edinburgh to take up a producer role with BBC Scotland, and to explore a range of new projects on a freelance basis.  BBC Radio Scotland - Pipeline
