Don Paterson

Don Paterson has recently been described as ‘one of the world’s great poets’, and winner of every major poetry award. Former Poetry Editor at Picador and lecturer at St Andrews, he has compiled various anthologies alongside critiques of Shakespeare’s sonnets and a defining work called, simply, The Poem. Toy Fights is a clear-eyed, unsentimental, compassionate and sometimes sad, sometimes very funny, account of growing up in Dundee in the 60s. He is also a gifted musician.
